I) How do trailers make their products more exciting?
II) Define the boundaries of Science Fiction:
1. View a selection of the movie trailers.
2. Individually, record a list of trends that you see in more than one film ex: aliens, futuristic setting, etc.
2. B. As a group, compile a master list of trends. Connect to self-- Are any trends missing from our list?
3. Determining Importance-- As a small group, rank these trends by importance and justify your decisions.
4. Connect to Text-- What other genres are represented in Science Fiction movies? Ex. Romance, action?
5. Questioning/ Synthesis-- What are the 3 (level 4 or off the page) questions consistently being asked in science fiction movies?
Ex. What does it mean to be human?
